LawPack provides a wide range of legal specialities, with the majority of its products comprised of DIY packs. But they're not for everyone...  

Law Pack has been running since 1993 so they've plenty of experience in this market and seem to pride themselves on providing up to date legal document templates. They are the UK's leading provider of legal documents and DIY kits, allowing their customers to cheaply and accurately produce and edit legal documents for a very wide range of needs.

Key legal areas that they cover include business, tax, landlord and tenancy, wills, probate, power of attorney, cohabitation, separation and divorce, and personal injury. Whilst they manage most of these for themselves they do outsource some clients to other companies who specialise in particular legal matters. For example, if you are looking to get a divorce then you'll likely find yourself using divorce-online (a site which we have reviewed in this same category). This outsourcing isn't really a problem (in a way it's like going to see a specialist instead of your GP) but it does mean that you'll be dealing with a different team so it's worth checking who will be dealing with your account and then checking out their site and our review of it.  

In comparison to other legal forms sites, this one generally seems to offer considerably less contact with a service professional, rather you choose which documents you're interested in, read the guide and fill them in for yourself. This is fine if you're fairly competent when it comes to filling out legal forms, but it may be troublesome if you think you will require a little help. That said, expert manuals are written for each form, so you're not left in the dark if you do decide to complete them for yourself. The benefit of this more hands off approach is that the price is often lower than you'll find elsewhere.   

Forms can be downloaded or you can order printed copies, which can be dispatched the day after ordering them, if not before. This isn't always cheap, though, and we think it's probably more economic to simply print them yourself. However if you need a document sent to a lawyer quickly and don't have printing options available to you then it's good to have this service as a back up.  

Given the fact that there are so many documents and DIY packs available, the site is relatively easy to navigate. It does feel a little distant at times though, lacking the personal touch of smaller companies who have tight knit teams who maintain close contact with their customers, but perhaps that's to be expected. In contrast, there's a bounty of information regarding all sorts of issues, from advice on starting a business, to how to properly order your last will and testament.  

LawPack offers a wide range of documents for anyone who feels confident following their professionally produced guides. However if you're looking for a service with more assistance then you may wish to look elsewhere.
